Efflorescence on grout is a white powdery feathery deposit, caused by salts dissolving in moisture retained by the grout and finding their way to the surface. The deposit can appear as splotches or a white crust all over the grout surface. The minerals that form the salts can be present in the grout itself or the water that was used to mix it; the salts are invariably sulfates or carbonates. Although unsightly efflorescence can initially be easily removed by brushing it off with a fairly stiff brush.

The design and size of indoor ponds and waterfalls that you could install in your home or office, are only limited by your imagination and, of course, the space you have to fit them into.
There is something soothing about having an indoor pond especially if there’s the sound of running water with it from a waterfall, or perhaps even just an indoor waterfall on its own. Adding lighting effects to an indoor pond or waterfall, will transform it at night into a spectacular feature too.

Granite is, of course, one of the most durable of substances found naturally; so the choice of product you use regularly in your home for cleaning surfaces will most probably all be suitable as a safe cleaner for granite. However, there are some domestic cleaners that you can buy from general and DIY store that won’t be safe cleaners for granite surfaces. These are ones that are highly acidic or caustic for removing oils and grease stains, or ones that are strongly abrasive.

We will briefly outline what is involved for each. Fiberglass swimming pools require a gel coat to be removed and then reapplied. Concrete swimming pools have many different products that can be used in the painting process. The processes are unique for each type of pool, so do not ever use products meant for fiberglass on concrete or vice versa.
