A great job for the DIY/home enthusiast is to build a brick driveway. To withstand the daily pressure of being used as a drive the bricks used here are actually concrete blocks, that are available in a variety of colors and sizes with specially designed edging and cornerstones also being available; these edging and corner bricks are frequently in a contrasting color to the main brick-work. They can be arranged in a variety of patterns known as herringbone, angled herringbone, basketweave and stretcher bond.

Before anything else when staining furniture, it is important you thoroughly prepare the surface to be stained before applying any stain. The furniture’s wood needs to be clean, smooth and ideally free of any blemishes before you apply the stain. If you were to stain the wood first and then try to smooth the surface or clean it, you will invariably cause patches of color variation in the stained surface.
Preparing the Surface
There are essentially two types of cabinet lighting to install; task lighting and accent lighting. The cabinets you want to add lighting to could be in any room of your home but, by and large, adding lights to cabinets in the kitchen is by far the most common.
Task Cabinet Lighting
Task lighting added to a cabinet is installed to help illuminate the work surface under or in a cabinet, for whatever task you might wish to carry out. Task cabinet lights make a lot of sense when fitted to bathroom and kitchen cabinets, as those are the two rooms where you’re likely to want to work at something under or by the cabinet.
Radon is a naturally occurring gas found in our environment. It is present in almost all rock, soil and water found on earth. Radon itself is a harmless, chemically inert gas. What is dangerous about radon is that it breaks down into polonium & lead particles. These are chemically very active as well as radioactive.
Radon is Toxic
Radon particles cause lung cancer, and are a threat to health because they tend to collect in homes, sometimes to very high concentrations. Radon is the second most frequent cause of lung cancer, after cigarette smoking. Radon is estimated to cause about 21,000 lung cancer deaths per year .Radon is the largest source of exposure to naturally occurring radiation.
A properly installed relief valve on a hot water heater will allow excessively pressurized and heated water to be released from the tank. The safety relief valve can prevent excessive temperature, pressure or both. Under certain conditions, the tank in a hot water heater can explode.
Water heater tank explosions can be violent enough to cause severe property damage, injury and even loss of life. Such explosions are usually caused by either mechanical defects in the tank such as corrosion or age-related deterioration, or water in the tank being too high of a temperature.
