Marble Bathroom Designs

Marble Bathroom Tub Whilst you could call in an interior designer from a local supplier to come up with some marble bathroom designs, to get exactly what you want out of a marble bathroom there’s absolutely no reason at all why you can’t do it yourself, and save some money doing it. Designing any bathroom, marble or otherwise, is mainly a question of maximizing the use of the space that you’ve got available.

Before starting anything you’d be well advised to decide which type of marble you want in your bathroom; or even better exactly where that marble is coming from. Marble comes in all shades and colors from snowy white to virtually black as coal; and every natural piece of marble will be unique it terms of its exact shades and patterns.

Inspiration

If you’re not the sort of person that has that creative streak whereby you automatically sense exactly what would or wouldn’t work for a marble bathroom design. Go and look at what other people have. Let’s be honest here it’s pretty well impossible to have a truly original thought/idea when it comes to either deciding the design for a bathroom or what to put in it.

However, by visiting other places you can come up with a truly unique design for your bathroom. There are two main places I’d go to for inspiration on how to design a marble bathroom - the show-homes on a new property development and top of the range bathroom fitting suppliers.

Here are 5 blogs featuring fresh bathroom design inspirations for you to look at:

Show-Homes and Suppliers

Marble Bathroom WallsAny show-homes are presented to simply make the property look as spacious and sumptuous as possible. So when going around a show-home don’t just look at what they’ve put in the bathroom, but pay special attention to the dimensions of the room and the arrangement of the items. A top-of-the-range bathroom supplier will not only have all the possible appliances, fittings and fixtures you might want, but will also have some bathroom arrangements presented to let customers see those things as if they were in situ in their own homes.

Here, you can get some more ideas about how to arrange your bathroom and, perhaps more importantly, see how different marble effects will look and whether to use gold, brass or chrome etc fittings in the bathroom.

Having done your research you’re now ready to sit down and design your own marble bathroom. The first thing you must do is make a scale drawing, preferably on graph paper, of the bathroom. Then, again to scale, cut out shapes to represent the size of bath-tub, sink, toilet, bidet etc that you want to have and see how well they all fit in; and what sort of arrangements you can have them.

Don’t forget here, because a unit is one place now, doesn’t mean that it always has to be there. When you’ve decided on the arrangement/lay-out for the bathroom, you next need to find the bathroom suite.

Buying a Bathroom Suite

The actual bathroom suite you buy will, of course, be dependent on the budget you have available. If you can’t afford all the bathroom items from an expensive marble bathroom supplier; don’t despair. All you need to do is shop around on the internet and you’ll undoubtedly find alternative marble bathroom suppliers able to offer the same, or similar, items at highly competitive prices.

The same applies to all the fittings. There are some fantastic designs in faucets and shower heads etc these days, but that doesn’t mean to say you have to pay ‘High Street designer prices for them.
