After you have all the lumber and tools gathered, assembling the frames is like putting together a model. You just have to follow the instructions, and you should not have any problem making some sturdy walls. After that, you have to hang drywall, texture it, and paint it. Then you will have something that looks fairly similar to a room.
Carpeting
You can also improve the look of your house by replacing carpet with a new color that fits better with the rest of the house. If you want to paint the walls inside your house, this may be necessary if your carpet color detracts from it. Get the advice of an interior designer, and find out what carpet color will look the best in relation to your walls.
Replacing carpet can be one of the hardest home improvement projects to undertake, since you have to remove the base from the walls and re-attach it once you are done, which usually required repainting.
